The USA is looking for YOU! It has just been announced that the H1-B visa quota has been increased for 2000 and beyond due to the demand for skilled workers in the USA. In addition they are making it easier to transition between employers if you are an H1-B visa holder. They are also becoming more flexible in terms of authorizing extended stays to accommodate processing delays. This will allow visa holders, whose visas are about to expire before they can obtain another temporary visa, or permanent resident status (Green Card), to apply for an extension of their existing visa.

What is an H1-B visa?
This is a visa that entitles you to work for a US employer for three years. It is renewable for an additional three years. At this point you would require permanent residency (a Green Card) to remain in the USA.

Requirements for an H1-B Visa
In order to qualify for an H1-B visa, an individual requires:
- A position paying at least US $ 40,000 per annum
- Proficiency in English
- US certified bachelor's degree
